Phil Smith - Chief Technology Officer
Phil Smith is a startup veteran with 30 years
expertise in advanced telecommunications product development and
management architecting both applications, kernel and network
products with numerous major organizations. Environments range from
embedded systems to advanced operating systems. Formerly with
Cranite Systems, the creators of WirelessWall, Phil has held
numerous lead technical roles for high-profile projects with HP/Compaq, NASA, Lawrence
Livermore Lab, TRW, General Dynamics and many other aerospace
industry firms. He was architect for the Cisco Catalyst diagnostics
kernel, lead developer for Lockheed Space Shuttle payload specialist
telemetry control and communications systems. He founded an Internet
product development and contract engineering firm, which grew to a
15 person technical staff at one time. He is expert in computer
security applications and messaging products (directory, email and
fax) developed and deployed. Career emphasis has been on development
of quality products and devotion to the spirit of innovation.
Larry Karisny, VP Business Development
Larry Karisny has over 20 years in
designing IP network solutions for both the public and private
sector. He modeled network and security solutions for LANs, WANs,
MANs, NAN's, Mesh, VOIP, Video and Sensor networks in both wireless
line and wireless topologies. These
network facilities included data center, co-location and network
management service platforms serving major enterprise, city, county,
state, ISP and ASP users. Mr. Karisny designed virtual offices and
virtual project secure collaboration, content management and
multimedia systems including location based smart city information
centers. He selected and
managed technology partnerships supporting complete turnkey
applications for secure campus/field enterprise and government
information network services. He
spoke in industry panels on subjects including on demand mobile
wireless networks, remote back-up and disaster recovery, intelligent
location based networks, first responder communication networks,
municipal wireless networks, smart grid utility networks and
critical infrastructure cyber security. He
is a contributing writer for MuniWireless and Government Technology
Magazine and Director of the security technology incubator,
ProjectSafety Business and Technology Cluster.
Patrick Conlan is a world-class
instructor, renowned author and consultant with over 14 years experience and
dozens of certifications in the networking and communications
industry. His experience began in the military where he was a
communications technician and maintenance expert. As a network
designer and trainer for the U.S. Navy, Pat has worked on a
myriad of classified, proprietary and commercialized projects.
He now specializes in complex network design and assessment;
